How television takes your guns

(NaturalNews) Somebody has to write about these things. Since I’ve worked as a reporter for 30 years, I know enough about how the game is rigged.

I’m talking about the big mass tragedies. Sandy Hook, the Aurora theater, Hurricane Sandy, Katrina.

Many of the interviews with survivors are done on the spot, with no prep. But the biggest interviews are done in a television studio or a home, by a recognized anchor. The setting is arranged beforehand and lit well. A mood and a framework are established.

The guests are prepped by one of the producers before they go on-air. This is where the brainwashing occurs. A potential conflict needs to be resolved. The network has its agenda and the guest has his.

The guest is swimming in a welter of emotions, in the wake of the tragedy. A family member has died. The environment of the storm or the murders is still chaotic.

The network wants to “edit” these feelings, to convey something specific.”

The producer says to the guest, “What we want to do here is let our audience know how special your daughter was. How wonderful a person she was. We realize, of course, that you’re grieving. We understand and honor that. We do. In this interview, we really want to give you a chance, though, to tell the world what a special girl she was. Talk about her life, her interests, her hobbies, how she was thought of by the family and by friends at school. Honor her memory…”

Now, this may be the last thing on the guest’s mind. This grieving mother may be feeling angry, outraged. She is feeling absolutely desolate. She is feeling lost. Given the opportunity, she would express these feelings.

But this is not what the network or the anchor wants. The “program” at the moment involves “reflection on the happy moments of the child’s life.” It’s part of the pre-set storyline.

At this moment, for this grieving mother, the happy moments are the farthest thing from her mind. But who cares- She just fodder for the network’s agenda.

And if the producer is skillful enough, he can gently convince the mother that she should devote four minutes of commercially sponsored national television to “a celebration” of her dead child’s life.

Suddenly, it makes sense to the profoundly confused, profoundly searching mother. Yes. Why not- Why not go along with the program- She’ll have a video clip about her wonderful daughter forever. A scrapbook memory.

Under no circumstances, of course, will the producer or the anchor permit the mother to go on camera and show outrage and anger. That’s verboten. That cuts too close to the bone. That doesn’t fit the mandatory sequence of horror, shock, loss, grief, healing, resolution, celebration of a life lost.

The whole sequence is artificial. It’s imposed. It’s orchestrated. It’s a stage play, produced in great part through interviews with guests who have suffered loss and who are “real.”

Except they’re not. They’re programmed to deliver what the networks want.

And behind all this- Behind the mandatory spooled-out story line, which takes days to reveal in full, on television- The concealed anomalies and lies and contradictions in the commission of the crime and the ensuing cover-up.

The network story line hides as much of that as possible.

This is why the interview-prep is so important. Here is where the guests, before they go on camera, are nudged into the right slot, are shown what to focus on, are brainwashed into doing something they would never do.

Programming guests is a skill. Networks need people who can do that well. They have them. They pay them.

Anchor: I understand your daughter liked to make airplane models. Did you think that was unusual-

Mother: Well, at first we did. But she was good at it, and she enjoyed it so much, we became very enthusiastic about it. My husband introduced her to a buddy of his from the Air Force, and Cindy went up in a jet.

Anchor (smiling broadly): Really- A jet-

Mother: When she came home, she was overjoyed.

Anchor: Did she want to become a pilot-

Mother (laughing): For a few days. But her love of making models led her to want to be an artist. Our son is a graphics person. He taught Cindy to make computer pictures of our whole extended family. (laughing) We have lots of cousins and aunts and uncles. Cindy put their pictures all over the house. She knew everybody’s names when she was four…

Completely wacko. But that’s what the television audience sees and digests and accepts. And the anchor moves it right along. A fabricated story. Intercut, of course, with Cindy’s pictures and Cindy smiling and playing and drawing and sitting at the computer.

And when the dust settles and the mother is being chauffeured home from the interview, her mind wanders and she begins to think about the revenge she wants to visit on the killer of her daughter. As many good mothers would. But it’s too late. She’s already had her four minutes on television. She feels like a fool, but it’s too late.

She’ll never get to say to Diane Sawyer, “You know, Diane, I wish somehow I was there at the school, and I had a gun, and I shot that killer dead.”

No, that will never happen.

And mothers across America, who are feeling that they, too, would have wanted to be there, in the school, if their child was in mortal danger, and would have wanted to have a gun and shoot the killer dead to protect their child at all costs…those mothers will be, to a significant degree, reprogrammed by the Diane Sawyer interview, and they too will begin thinking of the happier times and the old days and the smiles and the laughter.

This is how a handful of television interviews with skillfully prepped guests can make all the difference in the world. Especially, in the case of Sandy Hook, when gun ownership is now at stake. Do I have to draw a picture for you-

Because, admit it, if you were the father or mother of a child who was murdered, wouldn’t you have at least a few serious thoughts about revenge- Wouldn’t you- Wouldn’t you think about the .45 you have in the closet upstairs-

Television, though, teaches you what to feel.

If after watching a number of these tragedies play out on television, you are completely reprogrammed into some grotesque version of “love everybody all the time and forgive everything,” and you need an outlet, a way to vicariously and subconsciously experience what you REALLY feel, you can always:

Go to the movies. The movies give you a different slant. You can be Mel Gibson killing people to get his kidnapped daughter back. You can be Charles Bronson wiping out street scum to avenge the loss of his wife. You can be Stallone or Arnie. You can roam the countryside spilling blood at every street corner.

The movies give you vicarious license to destroy evil. Television news takes it away.

It’s called the whipsaw effect, and it’s modern mind control, and it puts you in the “excluded middle,” where nothing happens and you remain locked up and passive.

Where the powers-that-be want you to remain.

Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites are an elaborate CIA spying scheme

(NaturalNews) They are convenient, relatively easy to use, and help millions of people around the world stay connected with family and friends, at least digitally. But social media portals like Facebook and Twitter are increasingly being exposed as what appear to be bait-and-switch spying networks funded, and potentially even run covertly, by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and other government agencies. And this is all apparently being done for the purpose of gathering real-time data on the private lives of individuals willing to freely post such information for the world to see.

It is something that serious investigative journalists and skeptics alike have suspected for years, especially as sites like Facebook have gradually and quietly eliminated users’ access to the privacy controls that once kept their information “classified” by default. Today, Facebook is literally an open book of information that is freely available not only to the rest of the internet, but also to numerous government agencies that many years ago invested millions of dollars to make social networking sites like Facebook what they are today.

When Facebook was first getting off its feet, it turns out, the company received a huge cash injection from a venture capital firm known as Accel Partners. According to reports, Accel‘s head, James Breyer, was a former chairman at National Venture Capital Association, where he served on the board with Gilman Louie, the CEO of another venture capital group known as In-Q-Tel.

According to In-Q-Tel‘s “Mission” page, the group, which invested nearly $13 million during Facebook’s early days, was first launched in 1999 as a catalyst for keeping the CIA up-to-date with the latest information-gathering technologies. Not surprisingly, the primary purpose of In-Q-Tel is to “build relationships with technology startups outside the reach of the Intelligence Community,” and partner with private sector groups who are willing to “co-invest in [its] portfolio companies.” (http://www.iqt.org/about/mission.html)

If you connect the dots here, it becomes clear that Breyer’s expertise is in connecting the CIA with private enterprises like Facebook and Twitter that focus on gathering information, whether it be for marketing or some other purpose. And it appears as though the CIA front group In-Q-Tel saw a unique opportunity to use newfangled social media to gather intelligence in a completely new way, without actually having to gather it at all, at least in the traditional sense.

“We have to look at where the seed money came for these social networks,” explained investigative journalist Wayne Madsen to RT back in 2011 about the CIA connection to social media. “We do know that the Central Intelligence Agency through In-Q-Tel, its venture capital firm, provided a lot of seed money for many of these companies that developed these social networking operations and programs. Children of President Obama, media elite visit schools with armed security guards

(NaturalNews) If the elites in our country are anything they are consistent. Consistently hypocritical.

In a passionate speech just days after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings, National Rifle Association Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre made what many saw as a bold, outside-the-box suggestion for keeping schools safer moving forward: Put trained, armed guards in them as a way to thwart future attacks by well-armed lunatics and crazies who are doped up on psychotropic drugs:

…[F]or all the noise and anger directed at us over the past week, no one – nobody – has addressed the most important, pressing and immediate question we face: How do we protect our children right now, starting today, in a way that we know works- The only way to answer that question is to face up to the truth. Politicians pass laws for Gun-Free School Zones. They issue press releases bragging about them. They post signs advertising them. And in so doing, they tell every insane killer in America that schools are their safest place to inflict maximum mayhem with minimum risk.

The politics of hypocrisy

Mocked by an absurdly biased mainstream media, labeled as “crazy” by left-wing pundits and politicians, LaPierre went on to point out the blatant hypocrisy of those who have condemned him and his suggestion as unworkable, unwise and simply unthinkable:

How have our nation’s priorities gotten so far out of order- Think about it. We care about our money, so we protect our banks with armed guards. American airports, office buildings, power plants, courthouses – even sports stadiums – are all protected by armed security. We care about the President, so we protect him with armed Secret Service agents. Members of Congress work in offices surrounded by armed Capitol Police officers. Yet when it comes to the most beloved, innocent and vulnerable members of the American family – our children – we as a society leave them utterly defenseless, and the monsters and predators of this world know it and exploit it.

This hypocrisy was epitomized by none other than NBC‘s David Gregory, who badgered LaPierre over his stance during a Dec. 23 interview:

You proposed armed guards in school. We’ll talk about that in some detail in a moment. You confronted the news media. You blamed Hollywood and the gaming industry. But never once did you concede that guns could actually be part of the problem. Is that a meaningful contribution, Mr. LaPierre, or a dodge-

In trying to be too clever by half, Gregory went on. Citing mass shootings at Columbine and Virginia Tech, both incidents in which armed guards or police officers were present on the grounds, he tried to bait LaPierre: “But you would concede that, as good as an idea as you think this is, it may not work. Because there have been cases where armed guards have not prevented this kind of massacre, this kind of carnage. I want you would concede that point, wouldn’t you-”

Only the privileged deserve protection-

Not so surprisingly, Gregory himself conveniently left out the fact that he sends his children to the Quaker school Sidwell Friends where there is a security department consisting of 11 personnel, according to the Weekly Standard, many of whom are police officers and therefore presumed armed.

But even if they aren’t, Gregory’s kids – and those of a number of political and media elites who also send their children there – will benefit from the full-time Secret Service protection afforded Obama’s children, who attend the school. The others whose children attend Sidwell represent a cornucopia of voices now calling for more gun laws, stricter gun control and outright gun bans.

Finally, there is this: Gregory smugly asserted that the armed guards at Columbine and Virginia Tech did nothing to prevent the armed attacks on those schools.

Fine. But I have to ask: Would he consider placing his children in a school without armed guards- Is he willing to take a chance with the lives of his kids to practice what he and others who hold his point of view (and who also have kids in elite, well-protected schools) condescendingly preach-

Restaurant dish washing has no effect on contagious stomach virus

(NaturalNews) Current dish washing practices in restaurants are completely inadequate for preventing the spread of one the most common agents of foodborne illness, according to a study conducted by researchers from Ohio State University and published in the journal PLoS ONE.

“We know that when public food establishments follow the cleaning protocols, they do a very good job at getting rid of bacteria,” researcher Melvin Pascall said. “Now we can see that the protocols are less effective at removing and killing viruses – and this may help explain why there are still so many illnesses caused by cross-contaminated food.”

The study focused on the spread of norovirus, a virus responsible for the majority of gastroenteritis epidemics in the United States, and 90 percent of non-bacterial gastroenteritis outbreaks. The virus is highly contagious and is well-known for causing “stomach flu” outbreaks on cruise ships and in other closed settings. It is responsible for approximately 91,000 emergency room visits each year, as well as 23,000 hospitalizations of children under the age of five for severe diarrhea.

“Norovirus spreads rapidly through confined populations and can easily contaminate food or water,” said norovirus expert Kurt Stevenson, who was not involved in the study. “Numerous point-source outbreaks are attributed to contaminated water sources where food is grown and cultivated or through the improper handling of food by infected handlers.”

Virus unaffected by dishwashing

To test whether standard food service cleaning practices are effective at removing norovirus, the researchers infused cream cheese and reduced fat milk with either murine norovirus (MNV-1) or with one of two forms of bacteria, Escherichia coli (E. coli K-12) or Listeria innocua (L. innocua). Dairy products were selected because they are known to be difficult to clean off.

The infused dairy products were spread onto glassware, ceramic plates and stainless steel utensils, which were then washed either with a commercial dishwasher or by hand. All washing made use of chlorine and quaternary ammonium compound (QAC)-based sanitary protocols.

Both hand and machine washing effectively reduced the levels of both bacterial species enough to meet safety thresholds, although dishes washed by hand were more likely to retain bacterial traces. Neither technique; however, significantly reduced the presence of norovirus at all.

“Even though the protocols were able to kill some of the virus, norovirus is highly contagious and it takes only a few viral particles to infect humans,” researcher Jianrong Li, said. “These results would indicate that the neither the detergents nor sanitizers used in current cleaning protocols are effective against the norovirus at the currently used concentrations.”

When tested in isolation, the cleaning agents did significantly reduce the concentration of norovirus, but still not enough to prevent contagion. This suggests that the virus is even more resilient when mixed with certain foods.

“Proper sanitation and handling remain the single biggest factor that can prevent cross-contamination of food and dishware at food service establishments,” Pascall said. “However, it appears that we need to identify better agents or methods to significantly reduce the presence of norovirus and work to update the protocols.”

They found that the cancer cells died while the healthy cells obtained from healthy donors were unaffected.

The study team indicated that sulforaphane works by entering the cellular matrix and interacting with critical proteins that are needed for cancerous proliferation. They indicate that further work will be required to determine precisely which proteins are affected and the exact mechanism of action.

Dr. Lacorazza concluded “Sulforaphane is a natural product. However, what we used in this study is a concentrated purified form… so while eating cruciferous vegetables is good for you, it will not have the same effect as what we saw in the lab.” Eating crucifers regularly (three to four half-cup servings per week) and supplementing with a concentrated extract of sulforaphane provides a potent and natural shield against leukemia and many cancer lines.

“There are a lot of psychosocial factors in play – many of these women may have more negative experiences from trying to control their weight in the past,” de Jersey said.

Pregnant women poorly informed

A major cause of the inappropriate weight gain might be the fact that so many of the women interviewed were poorly informed about prenatal nutrition.

“The majority of the women in the study knew healthy eating was important, but very few could identify how much they should be eating from different food groups, particularly fruits and vegetables,” de Jersey said.

“Most women said they also didn’t know the recommended amount of weight they should gain during pregnancy and reported very limited advice about healthy weight gain.”

The amount of weight that a woman should gain during pregnancy depends on her body mass index (BMI) prior to conception. The higher the BMI, the less weight she should gain. For example, a woman with a healthy BMI (between 18.5 and 24.9) should gain 11.5-16 kg (25-35 lbs.) during pregnancy, while a woman with a BMI below 18.5 should gain as many as 40 lbs. and a woman with a BMI above 30 should gain no more than 20 lbs.

The women in the study were also poorly informed about exercise during pregnancy, with fewer than 50 percent of them considering it very important. This may come from the still-widespread but now discredited idea that exercise is not safe for pregnant women.

The best way to promote healthier weight gain among pregnant women is individualized counseling, de Jersey said, with special attention given to women who have struggled with their weight in the past.

“Giving intensive support to mothers at this time may help to instill healthy habits that can have flow-on effects for not only the mother and baby during pregnancy, but also to help lower the child obesity rate,” she said.

Diet drug poisons kidneys, hampers cancer drugs

Researcher Bingfang Yan has already notified the FDA of his findings, some of which were published in the journal Biochemical Pharmacology.

Orlistat received FDA approval as a prescription drug in 1999. With the release of Alli in 2007, it became the first over-the-counter weight loss drug approved by the agency. According to Yan, it has been the most widely used weight loss drug in the United States for at least 10 years.

The drug works by preventing the intestine from absorbing fat. According to the conventional wisdom, orlistat itself also remains in the gut, unabsorbed.

“But orlistat is reportedly absorbed, and certainly internal organs such as the liver and kidney are exposed to this drug upon absorption,” Yan said.

Highly toxic

Even at the time of Alli’s release, manufacturer GlaxoSmithKline admitted that approximately half of users could be expected to experience gastrointestinal side effects, including loose stools and anal leakage. But reports of more sinister side effects soon emerged, such that by 2010, the FDA issued a warning that users of orlistat should immediately contact a doctor if they suffered any of the symptoms associated with liver damage – anything from fever or fatigue to nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, brown urine or jaundice.

“Since it has been available over-the-counter, there has been a drastic increase of toxicity among patients using the drug,” Yan said. “It has been linked to severe liver failure, acute pancreatic failure and acute renal [kidney] failure.”

Now Yan has discovered the mechanism behind these problems: orlistat inhibits the enzyme carboxylesterase-2, which plays a major detoxifying role in the kidneys, liver and gastrointestinal tract. Even low levels of orlistat can cause severe and irreversible toxicity to internal organs, Yan found.

“When the activity of this enzyme drop[s] in those organs, toxicity increases or the efficacy of some drugs are altered,” he said.

Just as troubling, the enzyme blocked by orlistat also plays an important role in helping the body metabolize a wide variety of drugs, from aspirin to several important cancer drugs.

“Alli-based interactions can be key factors in the efficacy of medicines,” Yan said.

Yan found that when cancer cells were exposed to various cancer drugs along with orlistat, they multiplied more prolifically than when exposed to the cancer drugs alone.

“This study shows that orlistat profoundly alters the therapeutic potential of the anti-cancer drugs,” Yan said. “In the case of the anti-cancer drugs, it weakens their effectiveness.”

Although interfering with aspirin may seem like a more mild effect, that can also have serious consequences.

“Aspirin is used to treat blood clots,” Yan said. “Orlistat would increase the therapeutic potential of aspirin, which may increase the tendency of bleeding.”

Sweating and getting your heart pumping on vacation is an amazing opportunity, but it can take special preparation to make it a success. My job requires me to travel, so I’m naturally very particular about my leisure travel planning. I enjoy traveling for a fitness or athletic event because it creates an experience you wouldn’t ordinarily have in that destination. Taking a trip for a fitness or athletic event is different in many ways than a regular getaway, so I’ll share a few of the things I do to make fitness travel great.

Luckily, I have a best friend who is much more of a fitness fanatic than I am. She loves the idea of traveling for road bike races, mountain biking, running and pretty much any other fitness event. We recently traveled to Moab, Utah to participate in the Winter Sun 10K Run. Moab is in red-rock country with ruggedly beautiful canyons and vistas. It’s a breathtaking backdrop for a run to say the least.

Don’t stress or take yourself too seriously. Please take special note that it was a “run,” and not a “race.” I mention this because we didn’t train, but rather than excusing ourselves from running, we laughed and decided to enjoy ourselves anyway. Some people go to seriously compete — we are not those people. You don’t have to win to have a good time. The Moab run started out on a gorgeous December morning and wound through the town and local parks. We ended at the local high school with a lap around the track, welcomed in by the hundreds of folks who had trained and already finished.

Arrive early and take your time. Give yourself enough time to scope out the town and have a good dinner the night before the event. Try to hit a museum or squeeze in a hike to see a destination from all perspectives. The day after our run we chose to hike Slick Rock. It was painful doing post run, but great views made the day. Going somewhere for a fitness event allows you to see things you might not have seen and to go somewhere you might never have considered.

Pack differently. You’re probably going to need extra gear, shoes, clothing and liniment in addition to the essentials. Be prepared to take an extra gear bag, especially if your trip will include all the regular travel plans such as sightseeing or eating out that require a routine wardrobe.

Take advantage of fitness travel perks. Events are often accompanied with events, like fairs, expositions or lectures. Events bring a lot of new people into town that you wouldn’t ordinarily meet. Mingle and enjoy the energy and excitement that surround the event. Being around people who love fitness and travel is inspirational.

If you’ve never taken a fitness destination trip and have an interest, I encourage you to start with a “run.” The sense of accomplishment outweighs the temporary muscle soreness. These trips are a good excuse to get out of your comfort zone, run a race, bike or just go somewhere new.

US government intelligence agencies see possible economic collapse, resource wars, the autumn of America by 2030

(NaturalNews) The latest report from the National Intelligence Council explores megatrends that will impact America through 2030. The report is a jaw-dropper, as it openly explains that America will be overtaken by China as the world’s dominant economic superpower. It also lays out the likelihood of megatrends such as global economic collapse, wars over food and water, energy scarcity and the rise of the individual against the state.

“In terms of the indices of overall power — GDP, population size, military spending and technological investment — Asia will surpass North America and Europe combined,” the report concludes. Rather than the world being dominated by a single superpower as it is now, China will be the global force to be reckoned with, it says.

The report also warns that if the U.S. government collapses or suddenly weakens, it would set off “global anarchy.” This is especially worrisome, given the accelerating financial debt blowout strategy being pursued by President Obama, who has added more debt to the federal government (by far) than any other President in U.S. history. Now at $16.3 trillion, the national debt is only accelerating, putting the nation on a collision course with certain economic collapse.

Just this week, China has been seen buying up key assets from the U.S. private sector. A Chinese firm recently won the bid for U.S. battery maker A123, one of the darling alternative energy companies highlighted by the Obama administration. Now, Wanxiang Group Corp. will be purchasing the company for $256 million.

Also today, a Chinese consortium group is purchasing AIG’s aircraft leasing business ILFC for a whopping $4.8 billion, giving China a ready network of private aircraft worldwide.

According to Reuters, China went on a “deal-making spree” in 2012, spending $56.8 billion on acquisitions. A Chinese company has also recently purchased a Canadian energy company Nexen for $15.1 billion.

Earlier this year, a Chinese firm also purchased the AMC movie theater chain for $2.6 billion, giving China near-total control over what movies are shown in America. This has already resulted in one striking piece of editorial censorship with the movie “Red Dawn” which was painstakingly altered to change Chinese enemy soldiers to North Korean soldiers in order to appease the Chinese government. If the film had not been altered, it certainly would not have been shown in AMC theaters, now owned by the Chinese. This is how communist Chinese propaganda has already reached U.S. shores.

So the way this works is that Americans buy cheap plastic crap manufactured in China and sold at Wal-Mart, then China uses that money to turn around and buy America’s energy companies, technology companies and infrastructure hubs. Little by little, China takes over America’s economy and businesses. This is part of the strategy of how China achieves global dominance by 2030.

The rise of China is just of one the many trends outlined in the report. Also noted are the demographic aging of the global population, the continued rise of the population and the urbanization of the population (i.e. more people living in cities). The global population is expected to hit 8.3 billion by 2030, barring the release of a global pandemic which is also flagged by the intelligence report as a possibility. (They most likely know this because they are the same people planning on releasing a deadly pandemic bioweapon as a form of “population control.”)

Food demand will rise 35 percent by 2030, the report warns, and global demand for fresh water will rise 40 percent, reaching 6,900 billion cubic meters. This level of demand is simply not possible to meet with today’s water infrastructure, and the report predicts the rise of regional water wars in Africa and the Middle East, along with severe shortages in India and China.

The report also predicts that global climate change will cause increased radicalization of crops and food production, further worsening resource shortages. Whether a fluke or part of a large pattern, we have clearly seen radicalized weather in North America over the past few years, with 500-year droughts devastating the Midwest this year, and another 500-year drought slamming Texas last year. This has sent price shockwaves throughout the food and feed industries, and food inflation is on track to hit hard in February of 2013.

Also mentioned in the report is the “energy independence” of the USA, which is achieved by exploitation of the huge deposits of oil shale that have already been identified in America. The report concludes that this energy can be extracted in large volumes, returning America to complete energy independence. It does not, however, discuss the environmental impact of extracting and processing all this shale oil.

Some of the language of the report seems to point in the direction of global governance. The report often talks about a “Liberal Order” and “World Order” as if this is the default desirable goal of government.

The report assumes that cooperation among the three world powers — USA, China and Russia — always makes for a better future. It says that a strong USA is important for global stability and that a weakened U.S. government would foment global instability.

Nowhere in the report does it cover the U.S. government’s fall into tyranny and oppression via the NDAA, the highly abusive TSA, the rise of the NSA surveillance state or other areas of concern. Instead, the report supposes that China and Russia might experience a “collapse of authoritarianism” and become democratic partners with America. (And yes, America today has already experience a collapse of liberty!)

America is no longer democratic, however, even in 2012. Vote fraud is rampant, the money supply is controlled by a private banking cartel called the Federal Reserve, and the Bill of Rights has been obliterated by the Patriot Act, the NDAA and other oppressive laws enacted over the last decade. If China suddenly abandons authoritarianism, it will once again find itself opposite the United States which has now openly embraced it. America is emerging as the new North Korea. Not even in communist China do air travelers get sexually molested by government thugs before being allowed to board airplanes.

In summary, I have to question the intelligence of this report. It glosses over the real trends of the future — such as the rise of tyranny in America — while proposing many trends that don’t seem to line up with reality.

Only those who work in the private sector have an accurate view of economic reality.

By 2030, the United States of America will have already suffered economic collapse and possibly even a popular revolt or revolution. Liberty will rise up against its oppressors, and the global banking cartels will either rule the world or their leaders will have been executed, depending on whether the People awaken in time to save their own futures from economic destruction.

The real trend of 2030 is that America is already an occupied nation ruled and run by Goldman Sachs operatives which include Obama. Any decrease in pollution ends up in longer lives, study finds

(NaturalNews) Even a small decrease in air pollution can lead to significant increases in life expectancy, according to a study conducted by researchers from Harvard University and published in the journal Epidemiology.

“Despite the fact that the U.S. population as a whole is exposed to much lower levels of air pollution than 30 years ago – because of great strides made to reduce people’s exposure – it appears that further reductions in air pollution levels would continue to benefit public health,” lead author Andrew Correia said.

Numerous studies have shown that improved air quality leads to lower rates of various health problems and increases life expectancy. But because many of these studies were conducted between 1980 and 2000, when U.S. air pollution levels were steadily declining, some researchers have questioned whether the much smaller decreases that have occurred in this century would still have a health benefit.

The new study focused on levels of fine particulate matter, known as PM2.5 (indicating that the particles have diameters of 2.5 micrometers or less). It is well established that both acute and chronic exposure to PM2.5 is associated with a higher risk of cardiovascular and lung disease and death.

The researchers examined PM2.5 levels and life expectancy statistics in 545 counties across the United States between the years 2000 and 2007. In doing so, they expanded on a 2009 New England Journal of Medicine study that had found an association between increased life expectancy and reduced air pollution in 211 urban counties. In addition to examining more counties, the new study made use of more recent data and was able to examine both urban and rural areas.

Pollution control prolongs life

Even after controlling for other risk factors such as smoking prevalence, socioeconomic status and other demographic characteristics, the researchers found that every reduction of 10 micrograms per cubic meter of PM2.5 concentration increased the average life expectancy in a county by 0.35 years. Decreases in air pollution appeared to improve the health of women more than men.

The connection between improved air quality and life expectancy was stronger in more urban and densely populated regions. Although the reasons for this were not clear, the researchers suggested that perhaps particulate matter in urban areas has a different composition than that in rural areas.

The study strongly demonstrates that continuing to decrease levels of air pollution has a measurable and significant benefit for human health and life span, the researchers said.

“Since the 1970s, enactment of increasingly stringent air quality controls has led to improvements in ambient air quality in the United States at costs that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has estimated as high as $25 billion per year,” senior author Francesca Dominici said. “However, the extent to which more recent regulatory actions have benefited public health [had remained] in question.”

“This study provides strong and compelling evidence that continuing to reduce ambient levels of PM2.5 prolongs life.”

The study was funded by the Environmental Protection Agency, the Harvard-NIEHS Center for Environmental Health, NIEHS, MRC Strategic Grant and the Health Effects Institute.
